ALUMNI ….WOLVERINES STILL PLAYING
MARCUS BELLON
Bellon scores a TD at Hawaii in his biggest game of the year where he had 6 receptions, 111 yards, and 2 TD’s
Like Cole Harrity, Marcus has been a bit of a journeyman when it comes to college football. Marcus had a huge career at Truckee on many levels. Bellon played QB for the Wolverines. He has 3,710 passing yards and 49 touchdown passes. He also has 866 career rushing yards and another 16 TD’s. Marcus caught 5 passes for 69 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Wolverines also utilized Marcus on special teams as Truckee’s punter, punter returner, and Kickoff returner. Marcus had 12 punt returns for 368 yards and two touchdowns. One of those touchdowns at Moapa Valley in the 2018 Semi-Finals. That punt return was the turning point in that game to send the Wolverines to the State Championship. In his senior year he threw 21 TD’s, rushed for 10 TD’s, Caught 2 TD passes, scored on 2 Punt returns, and 1 Kickoff return for a TD. It was an amazing season earning himself the MVP award for the Nevada 3A. Bellon was originally recruited by Southern Utah. However, it was not a good fit for Marcus so he headed to Santa Barbara City college where he was an absolute Dude. He joined coach Weed who is currently coaching special teams and LB’s for the Vaqueros. Marcus put up huge stats on the offense but earned his exposure on special teams. At Santa Barbara Marcus broke a California State record for Return touchdowns in a season with 4 punt return TD’s and 2 Kickoff returns for TD’s. He also was a weapon on offense with 47 receptions, 622 yards, and 4 touchdowns. He was recruited by UTEP to specifically return punts and Marcus has excelled in this role at the D1 level. In his first season at UTEP he had 15 punt returns for 96 yards and had a huge TD vs the Boise State Broncos that he took to the house for at 48 yard TD. Marcus has worked his way into the offense a little as well where he had 15 receptions, 180 yards, and a TD. In his second year at UTEP he played in 4 games but then utilized his Red Shirt when he was battling through injuries. In the Spring of 2024 he was set for a big junior year but a new head coached arrived and he slipped down the depth chart. So, Bellon hit the Transfer Portal where the Nevada Wolf Pack found him and brought him in. A dream come true for Marcus as he returns home and now gets to play in front of his family and friends. Marcus found a home with the Wolf Pack and put up serious numbers in a very tough Mountain West division. In his first season with the Pack Marcus played in 13 games had 39 receptions, 522 yards, and 4 TD’s. The Pack also utilized his QB skills and Bellon threw a reverse pass for a 44 yard TD pass vs Boise State. Marcus has one more season of eligibility and he should be up for big senior season. Marcus graduated in the spring of 2024 with a Business degree and he is currently working on his Masters. JACKSON SKAFF
Jackson Skaff finished his junior season at Division III Pugent Sound this year. He was a special teams guys for the Loggers recording 17 career tackles. Jackson will return the fall of 2023 to finish out his career. Jackson is majoring in Exercise Science/Pre Med.
GEORGE SKAFF
George put together a very strong Varsity career at Truckee recording 182 career tackles for the Wolverines. He went on to Division III Clairemont University in Southern California. In his freshman season he claimed the Scout Team Player of Year award which does not surprise me. George has always been a tremendous worker and prepared himself well. Unfortunately he did not get as many snaps this season as he wanted as he suffered an ankle injury early in the season. He did end the season with several tackles and two of them for loss. He’ll be putting in the work to earn a starting position heading into his junior year.
COLE EICHELE
Coles Eichele knocked the helmet off a Monterey Bay player in the Bowl game in 2021. He had two dominate seasons at Feather River.
Cole just finished out another great season at Feather River Junior College and he will be heading to the next level. Eichele had 32 tackles and two interceptions this past season. Feather River is undefeated in 2022 and they are playing in the American Championship Bowl. In 2021 Cole was a 1st team All Conference Free-Safety. (stay tuned for more news)
