Hug, the most recent of the 5A drop outs, will look to get things turned around with the addition of Coach Doucette who comes in from North Valleys. Doucette brought much of his coaching staff with him to Hug and will look to duplicate his success from last season. Hug does propose some challenges for teams if they can get some momentum. First of all, they are in a brand new school with brand new zoning. Hug will have over 2,000 students. Big enough to be the 2nd largest 3A school in the North and second to only North Valleys where Doucette came from. Secondly, Hug returns their QB, their top RB, and many of their interior players. They could be a dangerous team this season. Truckee will make the travel to Hug’s new school looking
to get an important win late in the season. The Wolverines should take care of business but they will need to be healthy and have things rolling in October.
