Coach Ferree played high-school football in the Bay Area and college ball at Dartmouth. He was the starting offensive tackle on two Ive-League championship teams, was selected twice to All-Ivy League teams, twice to All-New England teams, and in his senior year was a consensus All-East selection. His would-be professional career ended when he was told that he was “too slow and too ugly” to play in the NFL. Coach Ferree worked as an assistant coach at Dartmouth for one season before beginning his graduate studies. After earning an M.B.A. and a law degree from Georgetown, Coach practiced law in Washington D.C. and taught at Georgetown Law school. Upon retiring in 2008, Coach Ferree and his family moved to Truckee and he began coaching at Truckee High. In 2012, Coach Ferrree moved to Anchorage, Alaska where he served as a running backs coach for the Alaska State Champion Service High School Cougars. Coach moved back to Truckee in 2014 and re-joined the Truckee staff.
