Coach Murphy graduated from Truckee High School in 2004. He played football from 2000-2001 under head coach Bob Shaffer and was part of the State Championship team in 2001 as the only Sophomore on the roster. Coach Murphy played football, basketball and baseball for Truckee High and went on to play baseball at Yavapai JC in AZ and then San Diego State to finish his college career where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration. Coach Murphy iwas the Head Baseball Coach at Truckee High until 2015. Two state Titles and a Runner Up! Now he is happy to be coaching for Truckee’s football program.
