Coach Chavez played football for ten years from the Pop Warner level through high school. He won the State Championship in 1996 with Truckee High’s Wolverines. Coach Chavez was inspired and led by some of the best coaches Truckee has had to offer. He would like to give some of that experience back to today’s Wolverines and be part of the winning tradition! One of his fondest memories and Truckee Football is when he flashes back to a time when, as a young athlete he looked up to Coach Mohun and Coach Shaffer as well as some of the greatest Wolverines who came up through the program, like Josh Ivens, Nik Fertitta, Ronnie Wood, Matt Estabrook and many more. Now he has the honor to coach along side many of them while coaching future Wolverines.
