Coach Martinez was born and raised in Truckee. He played football for 12 years from Pop Warner level to high school. He was part of Coach Shaffer’s first State Championship team of 1996. Coach Martinez loves the game of football, especially his time with Truckee Football and decided to inspire other generation kids coming to play Truckee Football by coaching at the Pop Warner level and then coaching JV’s with Coach Mohun who was his coach when he played. Coach Martinez coached the JV’s from 2006-2010 and has now returned to help coach again coaching the D-Tackles/Offensive Line and continue the great tradition of Truckee Football!
