Truckee Football lost one of its very best with the passing of Coach Mohun.
Coach Mohun’s impact on Truckee Football went far beyond the field. He cared deeply about every player he coached and believed that football was about much more than wins and losses. One of the lessons he repeated constantly was simple but important: tell the people you love that you love them, and never take them for granted.
No one brought a stronger sense of family to the Truckee Football program than Coach Mohun. He made players feel cared for, supported, and part of something bigger than themselves. Generations of Truckee players, coaches, and families are better for having known him.
We were incredibly fortunate to have Coach Mohun as part of our program and our lives. He will be deeply missed, but the lessons he taught, the relationships he built, and the love he gave to this football family will remain with us.
His memory now lives on through all of us.
As our players, families, coaches, and community process this loss, we ask everyone to be mindful that grief looks different for each person and to support one another in the days and weeks ahead.
We will miss you Coach! Thank you for everything.
