Josh Ivens, Varsity Head Coach 2Bs, DBs. (Truckee Coach 1993-Present)
Coach Ivens started coaching football at Truckee in 1993 under Ron Estabrook and then joined Bob Shaffer’s staff in 1998 and hasn’t missed a season since. Coach Ivens took over as the Head Coach of the Wolverines in 2013 and he is the first Truckee Alumni to do so. He is heading into his 27th season as a coach at Truckee High which is longer than any other coach in Wolverine history. After graduating from the University of Nevada in 2002 with a Bachelor’s in Physical Education, he started teaching at Truckee High School in January of 2003. He married his wife, Erin, in 2001 and they have 3 children, Micah, Jacob, and Samantha. Micah has since come through the Truckee football program making him a second generation Wolverine! He’s proud to have his boys be part of the great Football Tradition at Truckee High School. This is the “Last Dance” for his younger son Jacob. It has been an honor of a lifetime for Coach Ivens to not only be a coach at his alma mater but to see his two boys and their friends through the program has been a true blessing. WOLVERINES!!!
