East Nicolas plays in Division 4 in the North Section of the CIF. They are a small school with lots of success and tradition. This game, like the Colfax game, will be a challenge for the Wolverines. Both Colfax and East Nicolaus are schools are that used to making runs deep into the playoffs. Offensively, the Spartans return their QB, top WR, and their top 3 leaders in rushing yards. Defensively, East Nicolaus did graduate some of their top defenders but I don’t suspect that will slow them down. Though this is a smaller school, they will have size upfront, Truckee will have their hands full. Truckee will look to get their athletes in space for this one, handling off to Trotter, Birnbaum, Loper, and Shelby. The Wolverines will also look to get Julian Hall involved early in this game and get Dylan Sumner the football! This should be a very physical matchup and prepare the Wolverines for their Nevada schedule.
